Autumn 2009 ... The UK’s best live band, Bellowhead, played a stormer at the excellent Leamington Assembly. Read my blog on the band. The gig took place  on Saturday October 24th. The band enjoyed it so much that they have asked me to do another in November 2010.

And then, a real coup for the village of Braunston : I'm very pleased to announce that we secured a one-off  from the internationally renowned Swingle Singers at All Saints Church in my village - Braunston on Saturday November 21st. As if that isn't enough, they were supported by the wonderful Emily Davies, who played alongside me at The Big Chill and Festinho and recently made a stunning Braunston debut in my barn at my August Bank Holiday party.

Here is some of Broadbend Productions’ footage from the concert

July 4th @ The Admiral Nelson, Braunston : A day of music by the canalside in the Northamptonshire village of Braunston.

I played through the afternoon, selecting a wide variety of music. In the evening, the Open Decks format, pioneered a few years back at The Big Chill, came to Braunston with locals each taking 15 minute DJ slots and show wide tastes and preferences.

In June 2009, John Jones, charismatic singer with Oysterband, undertook a rare solo tour this summer combining his two passions of singing and walking. Joined by guest musicians along the way, John walked from his native Welsh borders through some spectacular landscape, finishing each night with a great gig. The first part of the tour was around the Welsh borders and Marches followed by the second part, which started in Banbury, led to a gig in Braunston en route.

The first concert produced by Pic-nic Promotions - Andrew Cronshaw and Tigran Aleksanyan - took place in Braunston’s All Saints church for winter solstice 2008.
