This event started in 2004 when Pete was invited by his favourite pub to programme some live and DJ music - and seems to have been enjoyed so much that it has become an annual event. Every June, around summer solstice weekend, at The Square and Compass pub in rural Dorset, there is a weekend of folk music, cider, perry and mead drinking and merriment aplenty. Admission is free.

Chilled Cider 2008 took place on June 14/15 at The Square and Compass, Worth Matravers, Dorset.  The guests were :

Camping is plentiful locally. Try the popular Tom’s Field and Acton Fields in Langton Matravers (35 mins on foot) or if you are traveling by motor vehicle, Burnbake or Woodyhyde are within ten minutes drive. Woodyhyde in particular comes with several good recommendations.

We’re back this coming summer on june 13 and 14 at the best pub in the world - the square and compass in the village of worth matravers. The line-up is as follows :
